Quick answer: The easiest way is to add your auditor as a user in your web app with view-only permissions. They can then see your current, controlled versions of everything. You can also download your policies and processes and send them.
Option 1: Add the auditor as a user (recommended)
1. Go to People and click Add New User. You need administrator permissions to add users.
2. Enter the auditor's details and give them Process Viewing. Add Report Downloading if they need to download.
3. Send the invitation. The auditor sees the live, controlled versions of your content.
4. Deactivate the auditor's account when the audit is finished.

| Downloaded and printed PDFs are marked "Uncontrolled copy" because they aren't updated after they're created. Giving the auditor access to the web app shows them your controlled copies. |
Option 2: Download and send your content
- Policies and processes: go to the Policies tab in list view, click Download, choose All published and PDF. Repeat on the Processes tab. Choose Excel instead to get a register with version history.
- Documents: the Download button on the Documents tab creates an Excel list of your documents. To get the files themselves, open each document and click Open document.
- Items needed one at a time: if your auditor or regulator wants each item as a separate file, download the items individually.
Before your audit
Auditors often check version control. Make sure each policy and process has a next review date, and describe reviews in the change summary when you publish. See My auditor raised a non-conformity or says our policies are out of date: how can Centro help?.
