Obligations are an item type in the Centro ASSIST web app that allows users to capture legal obligations based on legislation.

Add new obligation
1. Navigate to Policies>Obligations.
2. Click Add new Obligation.
3. Complete the form.
Field name | Description |
Obligation name | Name or title for the obligation |
Summary | A short overview of the obligation |
Description | Full details of the obligation |
External reference identifier | A code or reference for the obligation, if it exists in another external system |
External source link | The URL to the relevant legislation or link to the obligation, if it exists in another external system |
Managing business unit | The business unit responsible for fulfilling the obligation |
Related stakeholders | Positions that are stakeholders for the obligation |
Governing regulation | The regulation that governs the obligation. Note: The legislation must have been added as a new regulation in the web app to be linked here. If you have not added the legislation into your web app, use the External source link field instead. |
Policies | Policies that are related to the obligation |
Processes | Processes that are related to the obligation |
Controls | Controls that are related to the obligation |
Keywords for ‘Search’ | Keywords to help the in-app search function identify the item |
Remove from view | If required, tick this option to put the obligation into hidden items. |
4. Approve and publish the item using the release management workflow.
Delete obligation
1. Navigate to Policies>Obligations
2. Select the obligation you would like to delete and click Delete.
3. Write reason for deletion and click Ok.
4. Approve the deletion using the release management workflow.
