Quick answer: New content from each content update is added to Admin > Hidden Items, not straight into your policies. Search Hidden Items for the release month (for example "July 2026"), then select an item and click Make Viewable. Changes to existing content are listed in blue in the Edition guide on the Resources tab.
Where each type of new content goes
| Content | Where to find it |
| New policies and processes | Admin > Hidden Items. Search for the release month and year, for example "July 2026". |
| Changes to existing policies and processes | The Edition guide on the Resources tab. Changes are shown in blue text for you to copy into your own version. |
| New documents, forms and templates | Usually added straight to the Documents tab. In list view, filter by name or category. |
| Obligations | Policies > Obligations. Filter by category. |
| Easy read documents | The Documents tab. Their names end in "(easy read)". |
| Audit templates | The standard audit template list. |
Add a new item from Hidden Items
1. Go to Admin > Hidden Items. You need administrator permissions to see the Admin tab.
2. Search for the release month and year to see only that update's items.
3. Click the item once and click Make Viewable, then OK. This creates a Draft in your main content.
4. Edit the draft to suit your organisation. You can change the title at this point, for example to remove "NEW" or "UPDATED".
5. Send it for review and publish it. You can publish several items together. See Publish Multiple Items (in One Release).
| Tip |
| Each item is made viewable one at a time, so you can decide what applies to your organisation. If you have a large number of outstanding updates and haven't customised much, a portal refresh may be quicker. See Portal refresh, domain name changes and additional web apps. |
Common problems
I can't see the Admin tab. Hidden Items is only available to users with administrator permissions. Ask your Centro ASSIST administrator.

More questions
An item is marked UPDATED. Is it a new item? No. UPDATED means an item you already have has changed. Copy the updated text (shown in blue in the Edition guide on the Resources tab) into your existing version.
I've already approved the item. Where is it? Once you make an item viewable and publish it, it moves out of Hidden Items into the Policies or Processes tab.
I still can't see the new content. If you belong to more than one Centro ASSIST web app, check you're signed in to the right one. Then log out and back in and press Ctrl + F5. See Something isn't showing or updating.
Our web app is brand new and Hidden Items is empty. That's expected. A new web app already has the latest content in its normal sections. Hidden Items is only used when new content is added to an existing web app.
We're on ESSENTIALS. ESSENTIALS content is updated for you automatically, so new content appears in the normal sections.
Can Centro apply the updates for us? Each item needs to be reviewed and adopted by your organisation, because only you can decide what applies to you. If you haven't customised much, a portal refresh loads everything at once, but it replaces your existing changes. See Portal refresh, domain name changes and additional web apps.
Do updates apply automatically? No. See How often is Centro ASSIST content updated, and do updates apply automatically?.
