Quick answer: We release a content edition roughly every one to two months, and updates are included in your subscription. They aren't applied to your published content automatically. New and updated items arrive in Admin > Hidden Items, and the Edition guide on the Resources tab explains what changed, so you can decide what to adopt.
How content updates work
- Our in-house technical writer keeps the content current, using legislative and regulatory changes, compliance insights, and feedback from auditors and customers.
- Each content edition has a guide on the Resources tab in your web app, and release notes on this support site.
- QMS and QMS Starter: new items go to Admin > Hidden Items. Changes to existing items are shown in blue in the Edition guide, for you to copy into your own version. You stay in control of what you publish.
- ESSENTIALS: content is updated for you automatically, so there's nothing to do.
- Administrators get an email when a new edition is released.
Common questions
I didn't get the release email. Contact us and we'll add you to the mailing list and resend it.
Do I need a quote to get updated policies? No. Content updates are included in your subscription.
How often should we review our own content? We recommend reviewing every policy and process at least once a year (every 6 to 12 months), and setting a next review date when you publish.
We haven't customised much and we're a long way behind. A portal refresh loads all the latest content at once, but it replaces your existing changes. See Portal refresh, domain name changes and additional web apps.
